Clearing the snow

Over the past three weeks we've pretty much had non stop snow.  I can't remember this much snow falling consistently for such a long period.  I decided to take some photos so show you just how much we had.  This first photo shows how much snow we had on our deck compared to the size of a regular garbage can.

And all that snow had to go somewhere.  This pile of snow is actually the second load cleared off the deck.  Nicholas and I had fun jumping ove the railings and landing in the landslide.  I found out that even though he's nine, I can still throw him quite far!

One thing that I didn't even consider untill Shauna pointed it out is that all of the snow had also been piling up on my truck.  It had been parked since September when I went on to parental leave.  All that snow is quite a weight just sitting on the roof.

Here you can see how much snow had piled up next to the truck.  I dug down to the grass.

And all this snow had fallen on top of all the snow that had fallen previous to that.  And people settled here again why?
